The Night of our EnemiesThe noise was strange I looked around as if I would be able to see it The rumble was low, and grew louder in my chest I followed it to the window, the streets were always wet in the evening The satin curtains brushed my cheek as I pressed my hands against the cold glass For a moment my breath fogged my view, and a blurred light appeared Louder and louder it came, my heart was pounding And as the glass cleared, I saw it That plane heading down, down into the houses across my street My tears fell before any casualties And in slow motion the flames rose I closed my eyes as if toThe Night of our Enemies

Where You WereI saw the room across the darkened hall my heart ached so as i began to pass praying to my steps i wouldnt fall but sadly my heart still lies in the pastWhere You Were
i peered into the silence of that place and the spot there empty on the floor i couldnt feel my hands that touched my face or feel my feet moving anymore
onto my knees i saw the carpet cream unvaccumed and untreaded for so long my hands i ran across my memories and with nothing there they faded one by one
